The opportunity is really good for us to meet today, here in Bobo-Dioulasso, with the friends and partners of Burkina Faso, for once again, "add some down to earth" (as one of our "Living Human Treasures") for the construction of a proud, united Africa with strong cultural heritage and richness.
Allow me, first of all, to greet and welcome, on behalf of the Head of Government, all the VIPs who are honoring us today with their presence in Burkina Faso, as part of the holding of the first session of the Board of Directors of CERAV / Africa, as representatives of institutions, acceding States, or regional organizations of cultural civil society.
By your cheers, Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to invite you, once again, to greet these friends and partners of Burkina Faso!
I would also like to welcome here the presence among us of my honorable elders, the former ministers of culture Mr. Mahamoudou OUEDRAOGO and Mr. Filippe SAVADOGO. These elders, marked with a white stone, their passage at the head of our department and thanks to the furrows they were able to trace, we continue today their work with enthusiasm and lucidity.
Even today, their unfailing availability has led them here to Bobo-Dioulasso to accompany us in the animation of the panel, I was going to say "the talk with the wise", planned to allow the new directors, not only to to be more fully aware of the issues and challenges related to the creation of CERAV / Africa, but also to better identify the strategic partnerships to be put in place with a view to its full operationalization.
