The Regional Centre for the Living Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa) is participating in the 9th edition of the Cultural and Creative Industries Promotion Days (JPICC), organized by the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism on July 29 and 30, 2025, in Ouagadougou.
Held under the theme "Cultural Entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso: What Catalysts to Boost Genuine Development?", this event serves as a key forum for reflection, dialogue, and the promotion of initiatives aimed at strengthening the contribution of cultural and creative industries to Burkina Faso's economic and social development.
The official opening ceremony, held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, brought together key players from the cultural sector, technical and financial partners, and institutions dedicated to promoting arts and culture—including CERAV/Africa.
According to Bétamou Fidèle Aymar Tamini, Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, the choice of theme reflects the Government's commitment to fostering the development of competitive, high-value-added cultural and creative industries that generate decent jobs.
Through its participation in the JPICC, CERAV/Afrique reaffirms its commitment to promoting the performing arts and the cultural and creative industries in Africa. This presence offers the Centre an opportunity to share its experience, strengthen exchanges with various sector stakeholders, and develop new partnerships that foster the diversity of cultural expressions and cultural entrepreneurship.
These events also serve as a platform for showcasing innovative initiatives, facilitating networking among professionals, cultural entrepreneurs, and institutions dedicated to the sustainable development of the cultural sector in Burkina Faso and across the African continent.
