Opening Tuesday, October 05 in Bobo-Dioulasso, of the 2021 ordinary session of the Scientific and Cultural Council (CSC) of CERAV / Africa!

The Scientific and Cultural Council issues an advisory body that examines the questions and projects submitted to it and recommendations aimed at guaranteeing the perception and relevance of the Centre's actions for the benefit of the African cultural sector.

The Regional Center for the Living Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa) organized from 04 to 06 March 2020 in Abidjan in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, a regional capacity building workshop for the Contact Points of the 2005 Convention and leaders cultural civil society of the States of the French-speaking African space on the new framework for monitoring the said Convention on the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions. The major act of this meeting was the signing of the act of accession of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to CERAV/Africa.

CERAV/Africa received on the morning of this Wednesday, April 14, 2021, a visit from actors from the Theater Troupe of the Nazi Boni University of Bobo-Dioulasso. All, students in Modern Letters, the visitors of the day had the opportunity to discuss with the technical directors.

According to the head of the Troupe, Mr. Banao, this visit allowed them to discover the rich documentation that CERAV/Africa makes available to its audiences in the field of arts and culture.

From May 25 to 27, 2021, the regional workshop on the contribution of festivals to the development of the film industry and the resilience of the culture sector in Africa under the Covid-19 context was held in Ouagadougou. Organized by the Regional Center for Living Arts in Africa (CERAV/Afrique), a UNESCO category II centre, with the support of its technical and financial partners, including Wallonie-Bruxelles International and the Observatory of Cultural Policies of Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, this workshop was chaired by the Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism of Burkina Faso.

From January 31 to February 1, 2019, a regional seminar on "the situation of the African artist" was held in Ségou (Republic of Mali).

From August 28 to 30, 2017, a regional workshop was held at CELHTO-UA in Niamey (Republic of Niger) on "partnership with civil society in the implementation of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and the promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions and the charter of African cultural renaissance: what challenges? what solution? The official opening of the headquarters and the launch of the activities of the Regional Center for Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV / Africa) took place on Monday, March 29, 2016 in Bobo-Dioulasso, on the sidelines of National Culture Week (SNC). Several cultural actors attended this ceremony sponsored by Prime Minister Paul Kaba Thiéba. The first of its kind in Burkina Faso, CERAV / Africa aims to protect and promote the diversity of cultural expressions.
