The Regional Center for Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa) held an official meeting on Monday, June 2, 2025, to introduce international interns from Senghor University in Alexandria, Egypt, to their supervisors. The objective of this meeting was to formalize their welcome, outline their support, and strengthen the foundations for effective collaboration.
The session took place in the center's meeting room, in the presence of Mr. Ousmane BANGRE, Director of Planning, Studies, and Training (DPEF), and Mr. Pagnagdé Parfait KAPOIKO, Director of Documentation, Information, and Statistics (DDIS). Two students are participating in this academic internship: Mr. Bernard Ansama Togo from Mali, supervised by Dr. Amadou Mande, and Mr. Vanel Kouakop from Cameroon, supervised by Dr. Désiré Ouedraogo.
Each student briefly presented the outline of their final dissertation, highlighting their research objectives and expected results, with the aim of fostering mutual understanding and optimizing supervision.
Taking their turn to speak, the internship supervisors clearly defined their roles in this support process. They offered constructive comments on the topics addressed by the students, while also sharing valuable methodological advice for structuring their research work.
This meeting thus marked a pivotal step in their professional immersion, laying the foundations for a supervised, productive, and enriching internship, perfectly aligned with the missions of CERAV/Africa, a category 2 center under the auspices of UNESCO.
