This Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Saïd Hajji Cultural Center in Salé, Morocco, a new chapter in South-South cooperation opened. The Salé Foundation for Culture and the Arts and the Regional Center for the Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa), a category 2 center under the auspices of UNESCO, signed an ambitious and promising Framework Cooperation Agreement for the benefit of the African cultural sector.
This agreement aims to sustainably strengthen synergies between the two institutions around shared objectives:

The Regional Centre for the Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa), a Category 2 Centre under the auspices of UNESCO, and the African Institute of Cultural Industries (IAIC) signed a framework partnership agreement on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Ouagadougou. This agreement marks the beginning of an ambitious collaboration between two major institutions dedicated to training, research, the promotion of the performing arts, and the development of cultural and creative industries (CCIs) in Africa. The Regional Centre for the Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa), a Category 2 Centre under the auspices of UNESCO, celebrated a major dual event on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in Ouagadougou: the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, and the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

First 2025 Session of the Board of Directors

The Regional Center for the Performing Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa) held the first session of its Board of Directors for 2025 on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at its premises in Bobo-Dioulasso.
The opening session was chaired by Dr. Adama Segda, Chair of the Board of Directors, who expressed her gratitude to the directors for their presence. She expressed the hope that this session would help identify concrete solutions to strengthen the Center's effectiveness in fulfilling its missions.

This activity, held on the sidelines of the 29th edition of FESPACO, was chaired by the Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, and sponsored by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Burkina Faso.

A New Momentum for Africa after the CERAV/Africa Regional Workshop

After three days of intensive work, the regional workshop on "Cooperation and Diplomacy for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC)" in Africa ended this Friday in Ouagadougou. Organized by the Regional Center for Live Arts in Africa (CERAV/Africa), under the chairmanship of Mr. Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel OUEDRAOGO, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, this event brought together some thirty experts and professionals in the cultural field from various African and European countries.
